Yes. Owner verification is free. Paid visibility is optional and is handled separately from the ownership claim.

How do you verify that I control the website?

Use an email address on the website’s domain when possible. If needed, DrSEO may ask for another reasonable proof that you control the site.

What can I do after my claim is approved?

A verified owner gets access to the private Owner Portal, where the listing can stay Free or be upgraded to Premium or Featured. Active Featured customers can also add a homepage spot.

Does claiming a listing automatically activate a paid visibility plan?

No. A successful claim only verifies ownership. Free, Premium and Featured are separate plan choices, and homepage placement is an optional add-on for active Featured listings.

Can someone claim a listing without proving ownership?

No. A claim is not treated as verified until reasonable proof of control has been accepted.
